Giving new life to everyday objects, SEA LÍA transforms ordinary, often overlooked objects into

wearable stories by exploring the connections between the body, form and material.

FOUNDER AND VISION

SEA LÍA was founded in 2023 by Alessia Patanè.

In her own words:

"I make objects that forget what they used to be.

SEA LÍA is a world where I let materials do what they want: shells turn into earrings, spoons dreamof becoming bracelets and beads tumble wherever they like.

SEA LÍA is about the mischief of matter and about inviting you to wear a little of that magic".

INSPIRATION

Inspired by the geometry of nature, SEA LÍA transforms botanical, insect, and oceanic forms into sculptural expressions

All pieces are organic, fluid forms that mimic natural elements.

MATERIALS

Materials come from everywhere: deadstock, flea markets, summer travels, gifts or even just the corner of a forgotten drawer in the atelier.

A lot of purchases are also made online, on second hand platforms such as Vinted.

New materials are carefully sourced from Belgium or France, and Italy during the summer months.

PROCESS

Each creation starts

as an intuitive experiment: molded, melted, twisted, and shaped until it finds

its own rhythm.

The result is always a raw and unpredictable piece that is either a one of a kind or part of a tiny,

exclusive family.

CRAFTMANSHIP & SUSTAINABILITY

Each SEA LÍA piece begins and ends in Alessia’s hands, crafted slowly in her Brussels atelier.

She starts from what’s already here, working through a mix of techniques such as customising vintage finds, upcycling, recycling and repurposing deadstock materials.

Even in a world leaning toward automation, the brand remains devoted to preserving traditional artistry and craftmanship.

CREATIVE EXPLORATIONS

In addition to her main line, Alessia develops capsule collections that blur the line between art object and wearable piece.

These are limited, non commercial releases that serve as a space for conceptual experimentation.
